We do not collect or store your payment information. All payments and subscriptions are securely processed through Stripe.

3. Author and User Content

If you're an author, you may upload:

• Book files (EPUB or DOCX)
• Cover images
• Book metadata

This content is used to deliver your book to readers on the platform. User ratings and book data are publicly visible. All content is manually moderated to ensure compliance with our platform standards.

4. Sharing and Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate the platform:

• Firebase (Google) for authentication, storage, and analytics
• Stripe for payments and subscription processing
• Google Analytics for traffic insights
• Google AdSense for advertising (see Section 5 below)

We do not sell or share your personal data with any parties beyond those required to provide StoryForage services.

5. Advertising and Cookies

StoryForage displays advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to StoryForage and other websites, and to measure ad performance. This may include interest-based (remarketing) advertising.

We also use Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics, which use cookies and device identifiers to help us understand how the platform is used, so we can improve it and calculate reading activity accurately.

Opting out of personalized ads does not stop ads from being shown — it means the ads you see will no longer be based on your browsing activity.

StoryForage is intended for users aged 13 and older. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.

7. International Use

While our primary audience is in the United States, users in other countries may access the platform. By using StoryForage, you consent to having your data processed and stored in the U.S.

8. Data Deletion and Account Removal

If you would like your account or data deleted, please contact us at outreach@storyforage.com. We will respond to reasonable requests within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
